First thing i want to say is the restaurant is very clean and well maintained. However the brown rice and beans were old and hard. The black beans was just bean paste and onions after 5 spoonfuls and 1 bean found i stopped eating. I did not finish this food. I ordered brown rice and beans, steak and, black beans. My girlfriend ordered white rice and roast pork. The food was about 30 dollars, most of which went uneaten because it was nasty. The white rice could have used salt but it was at least edible and soft unlike the brown rice however it was bland and lacked seasoning and flavor. The pork had a funny taste very reminiscent of faucet water infused with acrid metallic bitterness. Will not be eating here again.

Clearly a Bronx staple establishment. Great service, decent ambiance and amazing Spanish foods. Our favorites are the ribs, oxtails, steamed vegetables and cheese empanadas. Often we use the take out but the food smells so good it never makes it out of the place, especially because they have indoor dining. They also offer an array of soft drinks and beers. And, they're reasonably priced.
The chicken and fish was very dry. That's a true disappointment because the food used to be great.
Their chicken is soooooo delicious. Service is not always the best. Rice and beans not always the best either. Good spot to pick up some whole chickens for dinner if you're willing to cook some rice or other side of your choice. Just my opinion. Hope this helps.
