A hidden gem for food. Prawns were that good, my son didn't even offer me any. Sandwich; good quality and the lamb shank excellent and veg just Al dente. My son mentioned he'd definitely return so that's praise enough .

Have now been to the Britannia on many occasions since the new owners Grace and Lee to over this year and on all occasions the food and staff have been excellent. The food is traditional English pub grub done very well and if you have a gluten intolerance most of the food can be gluten free even the battered fish which I have had and I am not gluten intolerant, I think it's excellent.
Thursday evening at the Britannia oswaldtwistle I had steak and ale pie proper food full pastry pie not a pie dish in sight I had a pint of gold very good pint.after lock down now back 14 July 2020 5 of us for Sunday lunch the roast was great still a high standard of service food very good 5 clean plates beer top quality. when you get nice food at only right we had to go back just to see 26 July 2020 still very good standard of food all the staff well drilled barmaid new her stuff pulled a lovely pint looking forward to August a very interesting menu for 10 00 I will be back
Good quality food at reasonable prices (especially on the weekday menu) served by friendly staff. There is plenty of seating and parking available and the outdoor setup is nice for eating outside. There is also a good choice of food and drinks.
Just had a lovely meal here, I had the battered haddock which had a beautiful light batter and fresh, tasty fish, also the skin on chips were fantastic! My partner had the risotto off the specials board which was a well prepared, lovely tasting dish. Give the place a try folks, you won't be disappointed!
