Staying at some lodges close to Ashbourne with our dog we wanted somewhere to eat that allowed dogs inside and The Bridge Inn offered such with a dog friendly sign at the door. Even though it was a busy Friday night they found our party of 4 plus dog a suitable table and we ordered food from a good choice of menu options. Debbie the host brought our dog some water and a treat while we waited, and the food was delicious when it came. We tried to get in another pub the next night but decided to go back here and got the same great welcome. Highly recommended and many thanks to Debbie and Graham for being so welcoming .

Wow, one of the best Sunday dinners, outside home of course. Great service as well.

I am in the understanding that the place has changed hands a few weeks ago but that is no excuse as to the poor service we received. From the beginning we weren't greeted properly and we were aimlessly stood in the doorway until we called someone over. They initially forgot about one of our drinks orders. We then waited half an hour for someone to come take our food order, however we had to go to the bar to ask them to come to our table which is against covid rules. Once the waitress arrived at the table she informed us that they had none of the starters available. The menu was stapled together, they could have just removed the page with starters on instead of waiting half an hour to tell us. We asked what the specials were, as it said on the menu to ask the waitress. She said that she didn't know what they were and then didn't even bother to go find out for us, she just stood there and waited for us to pick from the menu alone. Once we had ordered, it then took another 40 mins for our food to come out even though we were the only table which had ordered food. The food was then less than par and every dish had something missing from it. The gammon was very salty and cold and missing the pineapple stated on the menu. The curry was watery and microwaved. The duck dish had no orange sauce and instead of roast potatoes, stated on the menu, the potatoes were boiled and the customer wasn't warned. Additionally, there was no toilet paper in the lady's toilet or hand towels in the men's. Also the lock did not work in the men's. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone
