A little gem on the high Street in Thame. Can easily be missed at its at the far end, so make sure to look out for the Puffin outside the shop. Very friendly service with a great range of books and they can order anything you want normally within just a couple of days.. So need to rely on Amazon! I also like their recommendations in store.

One of the joys of a visit to Thame is being able to spend time browsing in the Book House. The staff are very welcoming and very knowledgeable and if a book is not in stock they will order it and more often then not it is available for collection the following day.
Wonderful traditional (independent) bookshop. Really knowledgeable staff, great selection of books but if it's not there they can order in most things really quickly. Go on....don't buy from Jeff Bezos, support your local businesses. Oh....and they gift wrap for free....Jeff doesn't do that!
We love The Book House, they have been brilliant during lockdown, putting in new measures to keep us safe and arranging a click and collect service. I can't wait till I can browse again and just enjoy their lovely shop.
Wonderful customer service, as anyways. So helpful in trying to find a suitable reading book for my 13yr old... lots of suggestions. Also had the diary I wanted... Shop local and support local people x
