I recently visited The Boathouse for coffee & cake with my mum. We were extremely well looked after by the lovely Sophie. Nothing was a bother to her and she was so friendly and helpful. What a great member of The Boathouse team. We’ll definitely be back soon for dinner and hope Sophie is our server. She’s always smiling! ️️️️️

Had a wonderful breakfast here today. Full breakfast and the porridge were delicious. Lovely morning looking into the canal. Staff very pleasant and we will return again soon.

Was quite disappointed with our visit to the boathouse today. We were sat outside, with 3 members of staff waiting on tables. We waited a total of 45 minutes between registering on the track and trace app and receiving our drinks. We then tried to catch a waiters attention to order more drinks, for the best part of 15 minutes our attempts were ignored, when we were eventually acknowledged, we chose to just get the bill. I understand times are different just now, however, as someone who has worked in the industry, 3 people waiting on 20 odd tables, where most are only having drinks, is more than manageable, and customer were extremely poorly attended to.

A light, open, modern restaurant with friendly staff and a lovely view over the adjacent Forth and Clyde canal. The food tasted fine and was reasonably well priced for what it was while our daughters food, ordered from the children's menu, was prepared to an equally good standard to our own. A restaurant we would happily return to if we ever find ourself in the area again.
