The Boat Inn

A very pleasant surprise in not having the usual pub fare on the menu. The staff where friendly and welcoming and the food and drinks excellent. Will live long in the memory as we live a long way from the boat.

Warm, friendly pub. Recently under new management. Used to do food and will do again soon. As is common in this area there are only 2 ales (Old Speckled Hen and Landlord) but both well kept. Cozy and dimly lit. Unobtrusive music. Wooden floors. Waterside frontage.

2 hours and 45 for until we were able to leave and pay the bill. Although covid restrictions were done correctly, the formatting of their booking was inappropriate for the amount of staff they had on shift. The majority of their staff were rude and unprofessional! Stagger your bookings further apart, employ skilled staff and smile! Great food, but it wasn't worth the wait. I have my personal license, I was a deputy manager in a 40k a week pub, I'm happy to come in and offer consultancy!

Absolutely brill !!! and a great new fashioned drink in the pub chatting relaxed and funny ( just like the old days) would av tried food if staying longer ( on boat) as delivered to boat as well, !!! covid compliant lovely staff ...and extremely dog friendly ...think ours is moving in ?\u200d.....soon !!! Thank you for making a drink in the pub 'normal ' nb Leo and crew .

Very friendly and quick service. Asked for a coffee with soy milk but they hadn't got any but the owner achnowledgef that they should and went and got son from the shop. How really lovely
