Looks like it’s a ancient, but is apparently quite recently renovated. Like stepping back in time with numerous individually decorated rooms upstairs. Their ale is good too. Well worth a visit

As featured in the film \Dads' Army\! This place is a marvel of renovation and interior design. Get a pint and then walk around the rooms upstairs via the cute snug to the right of the bar. Another great bar in an outbuilding out back. Several cask ales at the bar. Snacks available.
Always call here ... brilliant pub. Yesterday 29 July checked website and said pub opened 3pm. We were so disappointed when we got there about 5.30pm and it was shut .... hence 4 stars.
Tis a lovely pub, nice to have been able to have a drink in it.
