Called this morning looking for gluten free burgers. They had none made up but Chris offered to make a batch up if I popped in later! Great service, great products!
Great farm fresh meat and lots variety Always come here Would be 5stars but was somewhat disappointed as one of the staff members was handling burgers and sausages with no gloves.When I asked why she wasn’t wearing gloves she said there was no need as it was raw meat.She then carried on serving used the till handled money and never once washed her hands not good especially with a Covid pandemic. Other staff use the plastic bags to pick up meat hope this person will too
1) My husband is a Pork Pie aficionado! He says 10/10 to The Blue Texel, for their pies. The meat has just the right flavour and meatyness and the pastry is amazing. As light as you like and just melts in the mouth. 2)Just tried one of their stuffed, rolled breast of lamb small joints as a mid week roast. Perfect for us two and cost 3.72, even more perfect. Cooked it in a small covered casserole dish for 3 hours on 140c fan, as recommended by the Butcher and it was really, really tasty and tender. I can definitely recommend this Butcher, not just for his meat but also the whole shop is worth a good look around. I can't wait for all the Christmas things to be displayed.
This shop is absolutely amazing! The service you receive the second to none! The produce always delicious!
