Went for a birthday meal Sun 23rd Aug. The staff were amazing and couldn't have done any more for us. The food was lovely and well presented. We mostly had the Sunday roast and was offered a range of choices of meat. All produce was locally sourced, it was so tasty. Just a lovely meal out.

This place does not look fancy- although its very clean and tidy- and you could be forgiven for thinking it might not be anything special, but it is. The food is really great. There were lots of good veggie choices and the desserts were lovely. Staff were fabulous- so friendly and also very efficient.
Excellent again. Friendly, efficient staff. Social distancing and Covid safety precautions in place. Food matches expectations. Would recommend a visit.
Awful food. Myself and husband ordered 2 Sunday Roasts the beef had no taste to it whatsoever, the parsnips were hard, the roast potatoes had no flavour and the gravy tasted very odd. We also ordered a pasta dish for my little boy which consisted of spaghetti, some cherry tomatoes and a few pieces of chicken, very boring and no flavour. I was expecting the pasta to come in a tomato sauce as described. We aren't usually the type of people to complain but it was that bad we couldn't eat it. We travelled over 25 miles to visit because we fancied a change, never again. I would not recommend the Blue Mallard. I must say the waiter was very polite and sorted the bill we paid for our drinks and left.
