A lively village pub that makes you feel like one of the locals. Bar service is just as expected, not overly keen but good enough to get you your pints through the night. Food service wasn't spectacular being less than attentive but we got fed either way. Hats off to the chef who had prepared and presented our meals with a keen eye for detail. Accomodation was adequate with the Inn rooms being well equipped and furnished tastefully. Would return again.

Even though the pub was full with customers we were given a warm welcome and showed straight to our rooms .. the room was well equipped just missed a tea spoon for the hot drinks which were provided.. the bed was really comfortable and slept like a baby and fully refreshed next morning. Breakfast was pre ordered the night before using the menu provided . Fully English was really nice and museli n yogurt was fresh and tasty .we also had patisserie freshly cooked and was scrummy.. they have a nice range of evening meals. Which have to book a table for we all had different meals and everyone of us enjoyed what we had.. with one member of our party having 2 desserts ..overall very nice stay and value for money
Great staff, all of them very friendly and went out of there way to accommodate us on a busy Friday evening! Been staying in the area for a week and this is the best pub we've found by far. Great work
