Stopped for lunch on a journey up the A1. Good pint of Tim Taylor’s Landlord. Steak & ale pie was full of meat in a beautiful rich gravy, with a nice sized portion of chips (ie not too big) and 3 different green veg. Liver parfait was a touch salty. Mushrooms and smoked Wensleydale on toast was very tasty. Would definitely come back.

Fantastic as always, some of the best traditional pub food servings I've ever come across. Portion sizes are great (beware the Loaded Nachos 'starter' which was more in line with a full size main!). Pictured is the cider roasted pork belly with sheet crackling on top and mustard grain mash. I had a half pint, pint of coke starter and main for 23 which I felt was reasonable. Come here as a treat for the food and you're set
Had a table booked for 7pm on a Sunday, it was quiet at this point and social distancing, cleanliness and all Covid related rules where in place and followed which is refreshing to see. The staff where very polite and bubbly and the service was very prompt. We had 3 starters between 4 of us as the Yorkshire pudding starter was split between 2 of our party, every body loved them. I had fish & chips which could quite easily be argued was better than any fish shop, It was that good I'm not sure I could order it again incase it didn't match up to the high standard of our last visit Over all great visit, thanks for having us.
Beautiful food, well organised and 1st class safety measures!!!! I felt very safe there. Me and my friends had a very enjoyable afternoon. Well done The Blue Bell!!!
Absolutely beautiful. Staff were ever so polite. Food was exceptional. Special board. Chilli garlic chicken. Felt safe with all the PPE in place at the bluebell. I will be going again. Thank you.
