Great food, giving that home cooked feeling of being loved up from the inside out. Good conversation from staff and other passing visitors. A vital service to a small community with no shops, public transport of even pavements to walk on. I highly recommended this place.

First time visiting, very impressed. Fantastic service, really friendly staff and very welcoming. We only walked there for a drink but stayed for dinner as we liked what we saw and were so glad we did. The food was fantastic, the beer and wine selection top notch. The atmosphere was relaxed and all other customers seemed to be in good spirits which topped it off. An unexpectedly brilliant evening, a big thank you to everyone involved at the Black Swan!

We've just enjoyed a delicious meal here and are so happy it has been lovingly refurbished and reopened! The food was amazing and did not disappoint. I enjoyed the scallops and my husband the ham hock and it took a lot of willpower not to just pick up the shell and lick it clean! My duck was cooked to perfection, crispy skin and pink in the middle. My husband's scampi was also spot on with 'proper hand cut chips'. The desserts were just a perfect ending to the meal, I personally am not a fan of sorbet so I asked it to be swapped for the cherry crumble ice cream to go with the lemon posset... game changer! The brownie was equally enjoyed by my husband. All in all a pretty perfect meal, staff were very attentive and friendly. Tables were very spaced out which we appreciated even more as we had a pram and it was nowhere near the next table. Everything was also thoroughly cleaned between customers, including chairs. Well worth a visit you'll not be disappointed!
Our second trip to the Black Swan and once again we were not disappointed. Lovely lovely food , I had pork and black pudding sausages with creamy mash and scrumptious gravy Mike had Rabbit tagliatelle, all plates were sent back to the kitchen empty. The service was great and safety was exercised at all times. Thank you we will return soon.
