Amazing food and service, perfect chips, all at a great price. A perfect lunch midway through a 14 mile walk, all of this and two drinks for 27.00. Deffinetly needs to add tips to there card terminal though as I had no cash but they deserved a tip!

Hideous experience. We popped in for a break after a long morning walk to rest our small, beautifully behaved dog and have a small meal and small glass of wine. A very small man who served us was AWFUL - incredibly rude, sarcastic and blunt! We asked for water for our dog and were told the bowls were outside. We brought one in and asked for water, and instead of filling it inside we were made to do so with the garden hose outside - and questioned for cleaning out the mouldy bowl. We were twice told we would be given a mop to clean up any mess. I’d strongly recommend going elsewhere - literally anywhere. WOULD RATHER STICK NEEDLES IN MY EYE THAN EVER RETURN. Rest assured we will be sure to tell others of our disgusting experience at this pitiful establishment.

Stella was wonderful and waited on us with a great sense of humour, but the other staff were extremely disinterested and dismissive if we asked for anything. The food was pretty terrible, too. A lot of it was cold and the majority of it was tasteless - the roasts were sub par but the lasagna was very tasty. A real shame as the setting of the pub is lovely and Stella was a great host.

The food was lovely, reasonably priced. A very friendly place. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Set in a beautiful location. Would definitely go back
