When I visited before the latest restrictions, the Black Horse had a great outside space, a marquee open both ends and with individual heaters over each table. Great food and lovely friendly service, hope they can reopen soon.

Very friendly staff and a great choice of good quality food. Could do with a slightly bigger choice of gins but that's personal choice. There are a few tables out the front and a lot more out the back (I feel more relaxed outside in the current climate). Service was quick and with a smile. We'll definitely be going again

Excellent food and superb beer. But if you’re lunching here be prepared that the pub closes strictly at two. When I booked I was told the kitchen closed but I didn’t realise they wouldn’t serve any drinks including coffee after that time. So we were effectively ejected half way through our meal. 45 minutes isn’t enough time to savour a lunch so I recommend you book for noon or thereabouts. It may be worth their while warning customers as we found the experience somewhat unceremonious. Excepting that it is first class and in a delightful setting. No disabled parking FYI. Lunch for two, one course, with beer but without wine 70.

Sat outside because of virus. Looked a good country place to eat tho. Beers (Long Man) were very tasty

Lovely country pub, beautiful setting and friendly, attentive staff. Food was great, including really, really good chips (and great homemade tartar sauce), especially excellent pies and delicious puddings too - crumble and cheesecake extra recommended.
