The place has charisma especially for a sunny day to chill out with friends or family or for hungry walkers. We’ve been in first and third category. has its own parking space and can accommodate a lot of people inside too. I observed people coming for dinner so I presume that the food is largely appreciated too. We enjoyed good cider and great beers after long walking around the Caerphilly mountain. Dog friendly. I will definitely come back this summer.

A lovely dog friendly pub with good burgers and an excellent beer and wine selection. Staff were very friendly, plenty of parking and lovely local walks
Good simple food and decent beer. Sausage and mash after a long walk, was delicious.
Sunday dinner was so delicious, staff are extremely hard working, friendly and can't do enough for you.
Lovely little pub.. great food and a good selection on the menu..very friendly staff will be returning
