Just stopped here on the off chance as we were out for a drive on New Year's Day - so glad we did! Staff were friendly and service as expected. Decor could do with a facelift but the food was fantastic, no exaggeration to say the best fish and chips I've had! Partners' food (liver) was great too. Definitely recommended

Atmosphere was good, staff welcoming, food excellent. They weren't hassling us to decide or leave when we'd finished. Will definitely go again
The chicken lover paté was exceptional, though I do love pickle, and the cod looked great battered but was more than lovely enough unbattered. The tart they offer sat very well in my stomach too.

Great home cooked food. Plenty to eat. Wing skate is great either pan fried or battered. Very friendly. Super Sunday lunch. Bring your appetite. Children friendly.
