Another excellent visit to the bishop on the bridge - they have put a marquee and heaters in the garden. And the inside is warm and welcoming. They are clear about what rules you need to follow when inside but it’s also a friendly atmosphere. Lovely.

Lovely riverside pub in the heart of Winchester. Decorated to a high standard, this is great place to enjoy a relaxing afternoon with friends and family. We arrived on Sunday and had the roasts, which were large and very tasty. (priced around 16 a head which was reasonable for the size and quality of the food) Good choice of beers, Peroni coming in at 5.85 a pint. Staff were polite, attentive and friendly. Delightful elevated outside seating area with views of the river make this special.
Kind, helpful and attentive staff. We visited Winchester for a few hours and were recommended this place by somebody on the street. The website does not do this place justice, the food is great we had the vegan burger which is a soy patty emulating meat and my partner had the butter milk chicken burger - both tasty, with great condiments and reasonably priced. beautiful pub garden next to river! We also received great informal recommendations by speaking to the staff. We’ll be back next time we’re in town for sure!
We went for a weekend away and found this place. We spend all Sunday afternoon enjoying food and drink in their garden. Such a lovely pub, great interior, tasty food, relaxed atmosphere. Very polite staff. They pay great attention to social distancing measures and guidelines. Highly recommend .
Gorgeous location. Excellent attention to Covid-19 safety measures. Great staff. Lovely food. Prices are perhaps a little high, but I'd say definitely worth it.
