Had a fantastic experience choosing a bike at the bike station. The guy that helped us was really patient and encouraged us to take the our time choosing the right bikes, gave loads of advice, didn't pressure us into buying anything. It can be a long wait outside the shop but in my opinion it's worth it for the really attentive service you get once you're inside. It felt like a really non-threatening space for someone who doesn't know much about bikes and I would definitely recommend the bike station to friends. I'm delighted with my bike.
I love the bike station! I have been there 3 times, and each time I have been helped thoughtfully. They know what they are doing and they are not patronising at all. Thanks, I’ll be back.
Great initiative, poor execution. Arrived bwfore opening time and had to wait over 2 hours while behind 4 people. Only to finally step in and be told they have no large frames. While I was waiting, some guy came out and reassured me they have a few bikes suitable for my needs. Beware if you plan on going, they don't have many bikes and you may waste your entire morning for no reason.
Brilliant place, I'm so happy, anything I wanted to change they have drawers full of spares, got loads of additional equipment, a free pump and as many reflectors as I wished. They also helped me with a squeak (which I now know that I caused taking the wheel off) and sent me on my merry way. I love my bike and I have so much freedom!
