Service extremely poor, reserved table for 7.30pm didn’t get main course until 9.15pm even had to wait 20minutes for a wine list only to be told we would need to wait longer for one to be printed. Really wanted this local village restaurant to succeed, we need somewhere in this village to serve good food in a acceptable time period and hopefully at a reasonable price. Unfortunately our experience on their opening night suggests that they are about to fail on all the above criteria.

The Bells is a beautiful hidden gem in the outskirts of Barnsley. It's been recently opened post Covid under new management. The good was great, decor and setting was really nice and the staff were lovely.
Welcoming atmosphere greeted us on our arrival at The Bells steakhouse. Staff were friendly and approachable and the décor is in keeping with the history of the old building. We were not disappointed with the various meals our party ordered. With a wide variety to choose from, we will definitely make The Bells Steakhouse a favourite for the future. Outstanding on all levels. ️
Fantastic place. The food was brilliant and there was a great selection of drinks. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. We will definitely be going back!
