What a great effort the new team have put in at this place. They've had to work hard to turn around the reputation of the place and WOW, does the food and beer deliver! The building itself is built of beautiful honey stone opposite thatched cottages, and a perfect example of an oak tree is just 20 metres down the road. The manager is extremely effective... the guy looks like a pirate and is busy making sure EVERYONE is having the best time. Go there and enjoy some delicious food and try the ale. They have some special cans of Arbor in the fridges... every taste catered to. 10/10.

Glad you have reopened. Great new look and amazing food, I wanted to try everything on the menu! The staff were so friendly, even with the social-distancing and new eating out rules! I love the new decor, especially the pink walls.

The new owners have done a really great job at making this a welcoming and quirky pub. The service was fantastic - attentive and enthusiastic. A wide range of beers were available and were well-kept. The food was also lovely and a little unusual! The scallops in particular were delicious.

Wow what a difference - A few years ago under the old regime my fiancée and I had the worst “nachos” in our lives here - imitation Doritos with chopped peppers in ketchup for 6.99 in a drab and cluttered setting. The latest management have transformed this place- You can expect the friendliest welcome to any pub, great beer and clearly great looking food I’ll be back to try when they’re not absolutely (and deservedly) booked out.
