Discovered on a drive in search of some lunch for the family. Unfortunately they don't have a kids menu but our young girls managed to get by on sharing some of ours. Food is delicious and plentiful in serving size. Lovely ambiance and service, just a little cold if you're not sat near a fire. Good Covid measures in place.

Highly impressive Beef and Bacon Pie and Mussels. It looks expensive on the face of it but when you see the portions and taste the quality of the food it really isn’t at all. Definitely an ideal half way point literally 3 mins off the main route when going to or from the South West.
A local, fairly upmarket gastro-pub with restaurant and cosy bar. The building is very old and characterful, with stone floors and a couple of fireplaces. Warm and friendly atmosphere, usually frequented by both locals and tourists. Food is consistantly good to very good, and therefore priced accordingly. There's no children's menu, or even an attempt to cater for them generally, which can be a pain. So, if you take any children, you'd better hope they have a fairly educated palate and a large appetite. Hence, only four stars.
Great pub with a lovely atmosphere and really good food. I had delicious sea bass as did my husband. Staff were lovely. Interiors have been really nicely done while maintaining its character with wood beams and stone floors. Would definitely revisit for another meal.
Lovely place. Staff very attentive. Very relaxed but safe environment. Just stopped for a drink but have booked to go back for a meal.
