I popped by for lunch but they hadn’t put the food waste out so had to come back in the evening. Found 1/2 an ale pie so worth the rummage through the bins. Kitchen staff weren’t too happy about my presence but then I wasn’t overly pleased with the parking facilities. In fact if I owned a car or any means of transport, other than my shoes, I wouldn’t be giving 5 stars. Take note Beer Engine landlord!!

The beer engine excels at good tasty fare. With friendly and effective staff, & a wide selection of ales, this is a place to spend time at. All this is right next to a railway station so you may not have to drive.
Brilliant pub, fantastic selection of ales, excellent food and always a wonderful atmosphere.
Visited today for lunch, with 23 members of our lunch group. Could not be better, amazing range of menu, great quality and friendly, efficient staff. Was a real pleasure to eat here. Too many good dishes to mention, only problem is deciding what you want to eat. Good range of vegetables with each meal, fantastic parsnips, red cabbage and salads. Thank you all at the Beer Engine we will be back.
Excellent gastro pub. Brilliant service from staff and excellent food. I would say the best Ive had ever! Will be going again very soon.
