1st time at the Beehive pub and what a surprise! Absolutely loved it there- booked the pod experience and were stunned, we have both loved it from the start to finish! The ski themed pod was beautifully decorated, warm and has that special feeling. All the staff we came across were super nice and very professional, really raised the experience to another level, but the highlight is the food- simply stunning, didn't want it to end! Loved this place and will 100% return!!!

The Beehive is more like a posh restaurant than a pub. I had the feather blade of Herford beef. It was beautifully cooked, tender and full of flavour. The accompaning sauce had an intense delicious flavour. Overall, just excellent. The price reflects the quality but that's fair enough. The dining area is spacious and tastefully furnished.A good place for a bit of a treat,
Heard great things about this pub and the decor is very nice, the service was great. However the food is as expected from a gastro pub, very nice and tasty. The menu is comprehensive but I feel the description over states the food and for what you get it's very over priced. Lots of alternative venues that deliver the same quality but at much better value.
Poor service & unfriendly nature of the staff who were not willing to serve a particular group of people. Tables were available in/outside with a family of four happily sitting outside enjoying a beverage yet the lady welcoming people at the door had no hesitation in turning four people away for reasons, which I feel she didn't wish to share. A shame given we need to do more to support local, but if they feel its not welcomed by some then so be it. Unfortunately I'm unable to give it 0 stars, so 1 it is.
How this restaurant / pub doesn't have a michelin star is baffling. At the end of an 8 day Tour de Berkshire restaurant tour, (no 3 stars this time) this is well within top 3. Loved the food by Dom Chapman. Fill your boots with Scotch eggs, don't miss the rabbit lasagna, order any game (sadly no grouse on my visit on the 13th!).
