Excellent coffee which is worth the visit in itself. Marvellous views across the Gareloch, with sailing boats and the occasional naval ship or submarine. Recently redecorated, with new clean tables and chairs, The Beachcomber is a simple and very pleasant cafe. In fine weather there are many outside tables too. The play park below is well managed, and children love it.

Visited today for coffee. Had to duck under a chain to get in onto decking. No indication of where to order. No menus on table. Went into order being handed menu and told to order at table. Eventually order taken. Order arrived quickly. Hot chocolate ok. Coffee wonderful. Had to ask where to pay. Table or inside. Just all a bit disjointed.
Lovely food and lovely setting. Service was great and prices very reasonable. We'll worth a visit.
Great food, coffee, staff and the view is gorgeous. Lovely little contained park in front of the outdoor seating area which let's the little have a play safely while you can watch and have a coffee. Also great parking right outside so very accessible.
First time eating at the cafe & found the staff very friendly & attentive. Food was good & prices were ok too. Added bonus was the outside seating area & the spectacular views of the water & the boats. You could easily sit outside with a lovely hot drink & cake to de-stress. There is a secure play park for the children but it was so quiet & peaceful as the schools were still in! We took our 3 dogs to play down at the water & they loved it too. Will definitely be back again with the dogs!
