Best fish & chips in Cambridge. Delicious lunch today and service excellent (as always). Plus new branding and staff uniform is very smart. Well done to owner and team!

We’ve been customers here for years and years but it seems management has changed. We’ve tried it 4 times since management has changed and every time we have had a bad reaction (I don’t need to go into detail). At first we thought maybe it was something else but after the amount of chances we’ve given, we realised it was what we thought. Such a shame because this used to be the best fish and chips in all of Cambridgeshire.
Wasn't great today to be honest. We are our food outside in the car and the chips had obviously been sat for a while. Cheap tasteless sausages, meat was extremely pale. Chips bitty and not very hot considering we ate them straight away
This is the first time we visited The Beach Fryer and we will definitely be going back! DELICIOUS! The owners were lovely and explained the menu and choices available. We had cod and chips each, and the portion size was huge for the price. Incredible value for money!! The chips were delicious and the fish was light and crispy. They make their own curry sauce and mushy peas too (which of course we had to try) and both were really yummy. Would highly recommend!
Local chippy. Fast service. Good prices. Staff tend to remember if you go often. CASH ONLY is the only thing to remember! They're still open quite a lot of their usual hours for takeaway which is nice
