Top quality chippy, probably the best in the area I've had. Shame it only opens one evening per week (Friday's) but usually open Monday to Friday at lunchtime. For fish and chips, with gravy or curry (it should be illegal to have it without either gravy or curry) rag puddings, pies, mushy peas or sausages, this is the place I'd recommend if out and about fancying chippy in Dukinfield.

Its national fish & chip day so we decided to try The Battered Friar for the first time. Everything was delicious and it might become our new regular Friday treat.
