Absolutely fabulous I had a special birthday meal there. The food was excellent and the staff very polite and helpful. It felt very safe in these worrying days. So clean and safety was obviously well thought out. Well worth a visit.

I don't normally write reviews but in this case i have no option. Despite formally complaining in writing and no response i am now writing our reveiw for the public eye to see. My partner took me out for dinner at the Barbican Kitchen August bank holiday as a surprise. As it was highly recommended. We were very disappointed in the service and food we received. My partner had the steak the meat was good the chips came out warm felt like it was sat on the side underneath the heater. Felt like it was a packet of rocket from the supermarket. We were not asked about sides when ordering. The burger with pull pork on top felt that this was a basic burger and the chips both cake out warm. The Creme Brûlée biscuit was dry. What made the experience even worse both of us were ill after the meal. We didn’t want to complain on the night as we could see the staff were extra busy. It’s a shame of our experience we won’t be returning again. The food was definitely not worth the money.

Love this place been here many times never faults in great service and amazing food. From front of house Nathan who is always so polite and kind to the waitress/waiters who are excellent and nothing is to much trouble . And of course the amazing chefs . They also can cater for any dietary requirements which is good for me being a coeliac one of the reasons why they get a 5 star review from me. Keep up the good work. Cant wait to come back in a few weeks time. Xx

Had a family group dinner here and we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The service was non intrusive but well paced and casual. We ordered a few starters and finger food to share and kick off the evening- The stand out had to be the fish Taco, it was cooked perfectly and the fish tasted fresh and melted in the mouth. I had steak for main which was cooked just as I asked (medium). I did order the house burger but after finding out it has to be cooked well done I changed my order to the steak. Something Aussies and foodies overseas may not understand ( to do with local health rules). The steak was lovely and was up there with the Neil Perry steak I had only a few weeks ago (cost me 90 on its own). The wine was well selected and I really enjoyed the New Zealand Sav Blanc . We all went next door for a cocktail after - which we enjoyed. I will come back and try some more from the Menu when next in the Plymouth.
