If you are staying in Chipping Campden you have to go have a meal at this restaurant! The service is great! They are very friendly and like talking with people that are visiting. The food is amazing! They have a lot of choices when it comes to beers and mixed drinks. Definitely would recommend checking out The Bakers Arms if you are in that area.

We walked from Blockley to Broad Campden today and decided to stop off at the Bakers Arms for lunch. I rang ahead on the way to book and check that they are dog friendly. It was lucky I did as the pub had filled up pretty quickly by 1pm. There was a friendly welcome, open fire, good choice of well kept beers and good pub food menu. Our orders (cheeseburgers and fishcakes) came quite quickly and were very good. The children had a very generous portion of ice cream to finish too. I'd say it was pretty good value overall and a very pleasant place to spend a couple of hours.

I came to this gorgeous looking pub for Sunday lunch. The village is a Cotswold original - honey colored houses aplenty with occasional thatch. The pub is around the corner from the church and is in keeping with the pretty terraces. Inside the furnishings are neat and clean but dated, the bathrooms in particular are a bit 90s. The bar area is charming though and I’m sure generates good atmosphere in the evenings. We had high hopes for the roasts given the quality of food in the area, but unfortunately we were disappointed. The lamb was good and the beef reasonable, but the sides were poor. The vegetables (leek, broccoli, carrot) were boiled and unseasoned ala school canteen. We didn’t stay for desert, despite the offer by the friendly staff and the decent prices. All in all, I feel this is probably a better pub to drink at than eat. It’s hard for true locals like this one to compete with the investment of the pub cos and Daylesfords of this world, but regardless I feel there some things they could improve (like the veg) without much effort. Best of luck to them.
