Takeaway food from here is great during lockdown! Ordered a PB&J burger, lemon chicken flatbread and kids pizza today which were all excellent. The burgers are particularly good and are definitely in the same league as 5 Guys. Cakes are very good as well. The bistro is in the grounds of an active airfield and there are always planes to look at which the kids like. One of the best takeaway lunches in the area for sure.

Amazing location, very unique with its placement next to an airfield. The food was fantastic and it was very interesting to see the old planes after we ate. The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing and the staff were helpful.
First time to visit the Aviator pleasantly surprised. Friends have mentioned the place on a number of occasions. The bistro is situated on Fishburn aerodrome. Nice facility, we called in just to have a coffee but the menu looked interesting so we decided to have something to eat, not disappointed. Staff were friendly and helpful, all covid rules were followed so felt comfortable eating there. Will definitely revisit.
My husband visited today having received recommendations from friends. Unfortunately he is medically exempt from wearing a face covering, but he was told in no uncertain terms by a male staff member that he was not welcome without a mask, even with an exemption. This has actually made his condition much worse as he does not like conflict situations. Please think what effect your aggressive attitude may have on those unable to comply with face coverings. He will not be able to return, and you have lost a potentially very good customer.
Absolutely fantastic venue! Lovely place to sit outside & eat on a nice day. The food portions are a little on the small side for my liking, give the cost of the food. I would say the staff need some training or awareness of customer service. The staff were very condesending when some people in our group asked genuine questions about the food, given these members of the group weren't from the area & had no idea what a parmo is. But all things considered I would go back just for the unique venue
