As a family we decided on a last minute bike ride in the Kent countryside. We called The Artichoke to see if we could get a reservation for a table at 3.30pm that day. It was a bit of a long shot being such a sunny bank holiday Sunday but the lady we spoke to on the phone was able to accommodate us. We arrived to a warm, friendly welcome and were lucky enough to get a table in the garden. My husband and I had the roast which was absolutely delicious and a great portion with crisp roast potatoes. Our daughter enjoyed her meal from the kids menu which came with a complimentary ice cream. The staff here are lovely and make you feel very welcome. The food was tasty and not over priced. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back.
