Comfortable cozy local atmosphere - very good steak and ale pie The pie was delicious, proper suet (lard like crust) and huge chunks of steak within, no gooey gunge! Lovely gravy and new potatoes and choice of seasonal veg! The owner and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming and hard working. Amicable local cliental and roaring wood burning fire. Would go again and order the same. The local beer Harvey's was very nice too, tasty and easy to drink.

Very nice pub, friendly and welcoming staff. Food was excellent. Plenty of space inside and out - can be deceptive from simply looking from outside. It's a big place! Plenty of parking too. Been twice now and excellent on both occasions. Highly recommended!

We visited the Anglesey arms after a walk up to Halnaker windmill not far away...granted it does look tired from the outside but it has only just been taken over...so on that score things should improve...we had the best home made pie ever! Delicious...I would really recommend it... Lucy was very curtious and friendly especially to Lucie our dog :-)
