Amazing Sunday roast takeaway. Generous portions, and almost as good as being there. Just needed a take away pint to wash it down. Very covid safe with hand sanitizer and one way system.

This place has absolutely the best lasagne. Get it if you can! Their ale is top notch, too!

Nice pub, the chap behind the bar was really nice, was very helpful when we asked for some hot water for a baby bottle. Menu has some confusingly priced food on it, it's priced more like a restaurant than a pub, seems quite expensive for what it is. It was nice though and I'd go back for sure.

We were travelling back from Bournemouth and we needed somewhere to eat , this place has sort of became a bit of traditional thing to do as we have done this twice before ! I rang on the way back and they fitted us in , fantastic ! The food was very good , however was a bit rushed. We then asked for the desert menu and we were going to order more drinks . They said someone would be over to see us , however they never came .We asked twice. We then got the feeling that they wanted us to leave as no one came and asked us if we wanted anything else . So we paid the bill and left . Was a shame really as it was nice to see the place so busy , and I guess under newish management , the food was good, but a shame we never got to sample the deserts .

We went to the Anchor Inn the night before our Wolf Run. The food was served quickly and at a good temperature. I ordered a rib eye which I have to admit wasn't amazing, however okay. The service was very friendly and attentive. Overall I would go back again for the atmosphere and service. If the food had not improved, it would be my last.
