Great little marina to pause at for a while
like
Secure and friendly moorings. Modern flood protection. Professional and friendly staff. Superb facilities. Security gate. Perfect for access to Severn, Avon, Gloucester and Severn Estuary plus the canal network. Surrounded by wildlife but short walk into town. Well tended green areas with stone barbecues add to overall enjoyment.
Great place
We based our 57ft narrowboat \Horatio Sprague\ here in 2018. The main basins are set in semi rural surroundings, with pleasant views of the surrounding countryside and Bredon Hill. Yet they are only a short walk from the historic town of Tewkesbury, with a good range of local shops. The beautiful River Avon runs through the marina, offering pleasant cruising upstream to Pershore, Evesham and Stratford, thence to the canal network, or downstream to the River Severn. The moorings are flood proof and there are onsite toilets, showers (being totally renewed in 2019), fuel, pumpout and launderette. Also a work mooring and haul out/boatshed facility. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and keep the marina and surroundings immaculate. We have nothing but praise for the location, facilities and staff at this marina!
A lovely place to keep a boat or if passing through just moor up for a day or so and see Tewkesbury! A very attractive marina, secluded enough to feel secure but still close to the town. For boaters, all the facilities you'd expect are there, and are clean and tidy. Friendly and helpful staff too! As a cruising base your choices are open - meander up the Avon to Stratford and beyond or lock through to the Severn and head to Worcester or Stourport as your gateways to the canal network. Highly recommended!
