One of the best Tesco stores in terms of ambience and layout. I was a bit shocked though that it does not stock Tesco own-brand Pale Cream sherry. But it has a great fish counter. The self checkout machines are a bit temperamental and the (typically, female) staff in attendance tend to possess an air too superior and brusque to help when they malfunction. The problem is that quite a few of the self checkout machines' \pay now\ tabs don't work properly and consequently only allow one to pay until they condescend to ask after a maddening lapse of time : \ do you wish to proceed with this purchase : yes / no \ Middle aged Indian women should really not be placed in customer-facing roles in which they clearly feel uncomfortable ... especially in relation to male customers.
I feel its false advertisement as a superstore cos its not n shouldn't qualify. They have a limited range of items I couldn't even find semolina n a small range of home and leisure items. ️️
Joanna who was at the customer services desk went over and above to help me resolve my issue with a Google play card. She was very efficient and explained everything to me. Thank you x
I have just arrived home from Tesco Gerrards Cross. 20 people in long queue to pay. So I queued for almost 20 mins. Very few staff on checkout and actually closed 1 checkout when I got to top of queue. This was at 11.30 this morning, not Christmas, not even lunchtime. Totally unacceptable, will shop somewhere else in future.
