First, the hospitality for this old guy in a wheelchair really stood out. I was assisted at every step of the dining experience. I saw smiles everywhere behind the masks. I feel lucky that I was here on monday at almost 5:00. Their dining room is huge, but I was virtually alone in it. The music ranging from Guns & Roses through Neil Diamond and on to Hank Williams seemed just right to aid in enjoying BBQ. Be careful how you order the brisket... they slice until you cry Halt! And yummy that brisket was... tender as only day-long smoked brisket can be. Now, honestly, I did think it a bit less smoky than Dickeys, and the sauce is different, but I ate every last bite of it with gusto. I ate every bean and chunk of wonderful potato salad, as well. Even their jalapenos were tasty, pickled to a delightful crunch and imbued with just the right heat to spark that brisket into full bloom. And, they've got the obligatory open drink machines. In the words of the Terminator, \I'll be back!

I was just there today. It was busy and after eating there I know why. The portions were generous, tasty with a good variety. I chose the green beans, which were excellent, macaroni and cheese also good. Chopped beef very good. The atmosphere is open, airy and laid back. Country music, soft rock. I do in fact recommend this restaurant
This was a pretty neat place! It was like a cafeteria serving type style whenever you get your food. You choose your sides/dessert by portion sizes then you move onto the meat side and you get as much as you’d like that’s measured by weight. it’s all served on cafeteria trays with open seating once you’ve gotten your food. The bar is on the opposite side so one person could get the food while you get margaritas for the group. I think the setup is pretty well executed. My husband said it’s some of the best brisket he’s ever had. Sausage had a different flavor that was unique. If you’re like me, I want my ribs to fall of the bone... which they did! They were my favorite! Very flavorful! Would definitely go back!!
There's a lot of competition in this space these days but Terry Black's won't disappoint (unless you are really looking for a moist brisket). Ribs were solid though more competition style than the fall off the bone style I tend to make/prefer. Definitely definitely get the cornbread. The space itself is very cool and wide open. The patio is enormous and there's a rooftop with a great view of downtown.
No complaints ever at Terry Blacks. They have everything. Parking, all the meats and sides, ample outdoor seating and a full bar. Go there ASAP.
