Tarsht is one of the old neighborhoods of Tehran located in the northeast of Azadi Square, which is considered to be the old villages of Tehran, some of which dating back to Seljuk times. From the new neighborhoods in the Tarsht area, you can mention the neighborhoods of Tehran villa, Daryan Nou, Aryashahr, Shahrara, Shahid Fakori. Of the famous symbols of this neighborhood, it is based on Tarsht which has many endowments. Tarsht has two mosques called Hazrat Ali Asghar and Imam Hasan Asgari. Also, due to the proximity of this neighborhood with Sharif University of Technology, there are a number of student dormitories and research centers at the University of Tarsht (formerly known as Alstom Power) in this neighborhood.

Tarasht Metro Station
خط چهار مترو از این ایستگاه عبور می کند.بیشتر واگن های این خط قدیمی هستند ( به رنگ قرمز). در ساعات صبگاهی مسیر به سمت صادقیه خلوت است ولی مسیر به سمت شادمان به دلیل تردد مسافرین کرج پر ترافیک است. در غروب نیز ترافیک بلعکس است.
