When it comes to this restaurant, there are two aspects to it. This place is one of the remains of the late Shah of the Iran era's restaurants. There were two branches, one in Villa St. and this one, which I am sure many people have memories here, along with their beloved, family, and friends. Is this authentic Mexican one? For sure not, so if you've been in Mexico, like me, the food tastes like something else, but surely not Mexican, except the HOTness of the food. So the competitive advantages of this place rooted in its past history, and without it, it is nothing more than hot food. Back in 45 to 50 years ago, there were some cozy restaurants, located underground level, that served food and alcohol. This one was too! There is another thing about this place, and it is super hot foods, so if you are looking to burn yourself, this is your place. The arrangements of tables are cozy, comfortable and since the restaurant is under the ground level, you won't be bothered by the sun, street noise, and prying eyes (like those ones that you experience when you are sitting in fast food with tall glasses). The staff is seniors from the same era, kind, polite, and almost know all their old customers. Good for gatherings, possibly birthday parties, crowded on weekends. During working hours, parking spots could be challenging, so beware of this one too!
