The goal of Panotech group is to develop a transparent antibacterial wound dressing to aid burned or diabetic foot ulcer patients. Our wound dressing is based on bio-composite of bacterial cellulose & silver Nano particles. Using a cheap synthesis method, the low cost produced cellulose sheet has Nano size porosities like collagen of skin, which as letting oxygen reach the wound surface, does not let micro-organisms to pass. Having high blood & exudate absorption lowers the need of dressing changes. Also patients have reduced pain by this moist wound treatment and the healing process is shortened.
