Teddy Bears Of Witney

Teddy Bears of Whitney is a real independent gem, easily missed on the outside edge of the town’s shopping area, but well worth a visit. Having previously bought a Jellycat animal for my niece from them a few years back, I revisited to buy a Merrythought traditional jointed teddybear for my baby daughter as something she’d be able to keep for life. The service was as always excellent, with a quick guided tour of what was on offer, with thought to everyone’s safety during the pandemic with a pre-booking policy in place (though I wasn’t aware of this when I popped in and was let in when I rang their number). As I was just visiting the area, the order was posted to me once my daughter’s personalised name and date of birth embroidery had been added to a foot. It arrived well packaged and beautifully presented the day after a phone-call from the shop, along with a thoughtful hand-written thank you note from the owners. A rarely-seen level of service in 2020 that harks back to 1920. Thank you Teddy Bears of Whitney!

One of the bests shops of Witney and Cotswolds. Absolutely wonderful. Big collection of antique teddy bears and wonderful range of options when to buy. There’s also a small museum of special teddy bears. If you’re not up to bears, you can also find other animals. And teddy bear postcards. Great discovery. Totally recommended

I love this shop. It is full of bears and other collector pieces. The prices range from tens of pounds to hundreds. If you are a collector it's a must place to visit. The staff are very friendly and helpful we were asked if we wanted tea or coffee when we entered the shop, which was very good.
