Some ten years ago Richard Taylor designed my studio on the Georgia coast. The place has never grown old. Each time I return, it is as if I am seeing the place for the first time. Richard's design work was brilliant, he got along famously with the builder, and the end product is both functional and esthetically pleasing. It also is stout. Mother Nature may take it out one day with a Category 5 hurricane, but She better bring her lunch. I have few visitors when I am working, but those who do come are struck by the purity of form and function, by the practical vision of the architect, and by the quality of the workmanship. They are enthralled by the details and they ask if they can return to show the studio to their family or friends. I tell them no.
