Great day trip from Frankfurt, the U3 subway goes directly there. Walk the beautiful trails and see the moss covered pine forest.
Good place for hiking or cycling for adults. Couple of places where kids or families with kids can go like fish and chicken farm and Deer park - Hirschpark. There is also Minigolf (not the real one with grass but cemented) arena where group of all ages can have a good time. Both deer park and golf are side be side..
What an amazing clean air I could breath there - highly recommended place for small hiking round from the park all way to the top about 30min hiking .
It is the best way for a long hike in the woods. The Information Centre serves detailed maps with many possible hiking routes, their state, the degree of difficulty and app. lengths in kilometres. Very close to the Frankfurt city centre and worth visiting. Although in the beginning of the routes it may be relatively crowded, especially in the spring-summer months, but as you go inside there is no noise and crowd. Also very suitable for mountain bikes!
