You HAVE to visit Art to Art! We popped in recently whilst on holiday and had the best afternoon, on what would otherwise have been a washed out day due to the rainy weather. Mr & Mrs Alexander were so lovely. Their shop is compact but excellently stocked. You basically choose a ceramic item (of which there are many) then paint it (our 6 year old chose two - a butterfly and a penguin, my partner a cute dragon and myself a ladybird). The tables are arranged in 3's, sitting side on to the person next to you, so you can sit nicely and chatter to whoever you are with. There are lots of paints and colours to choose from, and lots of different paint brushes too. Everything is neat and clean. Mr & Mrs Alexander will happily help you with technique or ideas if needed. Once you're finished your artwork will be glazed and fired, usually on a Friday, after which you can collect your finished piece. However, as in our case, since we've now returned home, Mrs Alexander is going to package our items and post them to us, which is wonderful. We can't wait to see the finished article! The only downside is, is that we live so far away. If we were local I have no doubt we would visit Art to Art on a regular basis! :)

Great place for pottery painting. Not just for children as a wide range of potteries are available to paint on. Can be loud when a children party is on. Better to book for time slot at the weekend and during children holidays.
