Tasty Cafe

I have really mixed feeling about this place. When we arrived a staff member (looks like the owner) was sitting front of the coffee shop. When come in went straight in the kitchen without washing hand. The place is clean all tables, chairs, plates and cutlery but when we arrived at 9am on Sunday and they took our order they continued the cleaning.(walls, menus etc. Should be done before opening) they just finished the cleaning and they went in the kitchen to finish the food serving. During the food preparation they are not using gloves so they take the payment (cash only) and make your sandwich with dirty hand. They brought in some fresh egg and they put them temporarily on the counter where they are making the sandwiches. Cleanliness looks really good but food safety..... The waitress was nice with a moderate English. (Tip goes in a shared cup so tip based on that)During our breakfast no one did ask how is everything. Food is mixed quality some ingredients are good but some of them taste very poor but as much as possible looks fresh. Later definitely will give them another chance and eat here. Hopefully see some improvement.

You will not find a better cafe in Romford, staff are very friendly and polite. The food is always nice and portion’s are great. Been coming here for years and will carry on coming

Food here is always a 5 star restaurant quality food and big meals for a good price. Polite service from waitress's and chef.

I've been going to this cafe 10 plus years Over the time I've seen the quality in food go down and the prices go considerably up Its hit and miss with the food, portion sizes are very generous Over the 10 plus years I've not even had as much as a free tea Cash only is a let down in this day and age 1.10p to 2 slices of stale bread is the last straw

Great Experience at the Tasty Cafe. The Staff is super friendly and their Service is amazing. The food is awesome as well and would recommend it.
