I decided I wanted pozole for lunch and it's Mom&Pop Wednesday! So, I googled a place near me and found this gem in the city of Inglewood, CA. This small little family run restaurant is a must people! Soup was fresh and hot with extra garnish, chips and salsa! All this for only 11.99 plus tax! Oh, did I mention they have lunch specials on Mon-Fri for a mere 8.99tax! You gotta try this place

I went there with friends last weekend for the first time, and had birria. One of us had the BEEF, dry on a plate with rice, beans and consomme/broth on the side. My other friend had also beef but stew/soup style and I had GOAT stew/soup. I know, i can speak for all of us, it was OUTSTANDING!! Price, portion, flavor and service quite stisfactory, specially the FRESH hand made corn tortillas; DELICIOUS!! Maybe the modest looks of the premises and it's surroundings are not as inviting; but don't be fooled by it, because the Birria smell and taste, make it all fine and dandy!. I totally recommend Jocotepec; Specially now, that most restaurants are Overcharging, for poor quality food and smaller portions.
Real authentic Mexican food from the state of Jalisco. If you don't know what that means.....it means is really good traditional Mexican food. Carne asada with grilled onions, hand made tortillas, plenty of \extras\ in the food that others will charge you extra money for. I would like to give them five stars but due to the local area, size of the building, ambience and decor, I can't. This is a good quick fix for Mexican food, a casual dinner date without any false impressions, or an awesome flashback of when your dad's compadres came over to see who grilled the best meat while the comadres prepared the salsas.
Would certainly recommend trying out this place. Excellent vibes, delightful dishes, awesome customer service. Highly recommended.
Delicious mexican food! Would highly recommend. All staff is very friendly. I come here almost every other week, my mother and i can’t get enough. Deliciosa comida, se lo recomendaría a todos!
