I was recommended about this place when by a few friends who'd been here. True to their word, the place was amazing. The beach is just a few feet away from the resort and sunrise is just beautiful. The waves were crazy! Atleast 6 or 7 ft when we went (end of November) and we really enjoyed wrestling with them. I saw a few surfers out there too, but unsure if the waves was ideal for their requirement as they rose and broke just close to the shore. You can even help out with the fishermen who pull in the nets or 'madela'. We helped a crew pull it in and they said 'thank you've offering us about 3kg of fish half of which we ate for bites the first evening. The host Prageeth is a friendly and helpful chap who went out of his way to see if everything was perfect for us. His staff is nice and helpful too. The sea view rooms are recommended as it gives a 'tree house' vibe and overlooks the ocean. Ask the host for directions to mulkirigala and rekawa turtle hatcheries which are cool places to check out too.

A really chilled out place right by the beach. The place was comfortable and the hosts were really helpful.
Good service and friendly staff, but rooms are a bit of a mess. Not cleaned, dirty mosquito net, and we had cockroaches in our room, which resulted in us fleeing in the late evening to another hotel as we could not sleep there. Open hole as window in the bathroom. Seems the place changed name etc. This review is for the new place which is called Lucky Beach Tangalle
Slow service, messy place. Location is awesome though. It called Lucky Beach now.
Perfect location. Free breakfast. Not an expensive place. But you can hear everything from other rooms as the walls are just wooden and very thin and there's lot of insect in the evening.
Cozy little place to avoid the sun and catch some cool vibes, the food it good and well priced , I'd go back for sure
Nice at the beach. Service isn't that great. Rooms are quite dark, dirty and very standard. You can hear your neighbours seeing the walls don't connect to the sealing.
the good: directly on the beach, beautiful spot, friendly staff, decent wifi (make sure you delete on your phone as many other locations have the default dialog 4g name). to improve: concrete rooms with no furnishings, cleanliness is not going up to par for the price, expensive restaurant and drinks.
