So TPA has to be one of the nicest international airports in the US. Super clean with a very efficient layout. Trams to and from parking and rental car, less than 10 minutes to the ticket counter. The main layout has stayed the same for the ticketing for years, the update to the facade is very modern. Departure terminals are windows from the ground up when viewing the flight ramp. Ton of selections when it comes to food, drinks and last minute shopping. Recommend eating at the RumFish if you are at Concourse C. Good seafood and salads.
The girls behind the check-in counter could use some English lessons. And they need to check info on their screen before they say someone's bag is too heavy. I paid extra for a 50 lb bag. I don't need all this frustration when it should be quicker and easier. This must be why Spirit is so cheap. Next time I'll stick with Southwest. I've never had a problem with that airline. Also, their website is horrible. It brings you back to the beginning when you click the back button instead of the page before the one you're on so you have to start over. Once when I called customer service I heard a very very loud rooster in the back ground. Nice.
The workers here are a lot nicer to work with. From a customer point of view. Versus General Mitchell airport in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
We took off on time and arrived 23 minutes early. A great flight from Hartford Ct to Tampa. Weather was great all along the east coast. Well run and very clean airplane. Spaced out seating. Flight crew was efficient and friendly.
