I found Tamar Sailmakers of Torpoint to be excellent in accommodating my idea for a cover and delivering the goods. I liked the fact that their sailmaker Bradley understood my concept and was flexible and understanding and came up with the goods. Reaally pleased! Thank you!

I went to Tamar Sailmakers in October 2017 & commissioned them to make me a new boat cover, I was asked for & payed 50% deposit and was told it would be ready in 2 weeks, I heard nothing so I phoned in December & received an e-mail stating it would be ready end of that week, nothing was heard from them until I phoned in January 2018 & was told it would be ready in beginning february, again heard nothing, phoned in march & was told it was nearly finished & could I bring my boat down for final adjustments. I live 1hr 40 min away but agreed because I was getting very worried about this company, I was asked to leave the boat for that day, on returning I found out that they had only started to make a pattern for the cover & had not nearly finished it as stated, they asked me to leave the boat for a week & assured me that it would be finished end of week, I phone end of week & asked to come down at 4pm only to be shown what they had achieved which was very poor & not what they said they would produce, when I complained & stated that I thought that this job was above their ability, They promised to rectify all their mistakes & it would be finished in 2 days. I emailed them 7days later after hearing nothing and asked for my deposit back only to be told no, I then considered taking them to court but decided to give them one last chance, they said it would be ready Friday 20th April & delivered before 10am. and asked me to be at home I told them that I would need to take time of work & could they be on time. they arrived at 13.30 in the afternoon with an acceptable boat cover. During all my dealings with this company they have continually told me lies about completion dates, Their communication with me has been very bad, dealing with this company has cost me huge amount of stress, time, and money, so I urge you to do yourself a favour & do not do business with this company .
Very helpful will be getting the work I need doing with this company
