We did a 2 hr bike ride on the Eastside and finished here with brunch. 11 of us had a variety of menu items and everyone raved about what they ate! The margaritas were exceptional - not too sweet or too strong which is getting harder to find outside of Maudies, Matt's, and a few other restaurants in town. This place is the real deal! Coming from a woman who has lived on the border of Mexico and a resident of Austin for 28 yrs., I really appreciated Tamale House's authenticity-- family-owned & operated great quality, service, welcoming atmosphere, beautiful space. Food was delivered quickly, hot, and the portions were appropriate. Can't wait to go back

Tamale House is excellent. They make the best tamales you'll ever have. I also love getting their fish taco and a margarita. They have big tables, comfy booths, and a really nice garden patio. They have a parking lot right in front. To make it even better, TH is owned and operated by an old Austin family.
Great ambience, the food is delicious. I highly recommend eating outdoors and getting literally anything on the menu. Also the iced coffee is delicious
Good menu, but I did find that my enchiladas were not totally melted.
The queso tamale is out of this world. Amazing atmosphere, super friendly and attentive staff. Feels great for COVID safety too! Highly recommend.
