They let us sub the spicy tuna roll for the California in the sushi for two dinner set. Highly recommended. Unless you’re really starving it’s definitely enough food for two people.

Looking for affordable & excellent sushi in the East Village? This is your place. The Yellowtail Jaw is amazing if you're lucky enough to get it (they always have a limited quantity). Friendly & attentive staff - I must've had my water refilled 7 times after getting a few extra hot shishito peppers.
Solid sushi and Japanese dishes at reasonable prices. This place has been around for decades. You can tell that special bonds have been formed between the staff and the locals. This is truly one of those places that make the trip to Alphabet City worth it. I've visited twice now during spring and am very impressed with the leveling up of the special sushi rolls and appetizers. The winter roll, the tuna jalapeno roll, the 007roll and the loco roll are outstanding. So is the seafood gyoza made with whitefish. And finally, if you and your party have room try the green tea ice cream with the fried banana desserts. Outstanding.
