The Taj isn’t going to test your taste buds with new flavours. What it will do is offer what most British punters want, North Indian style food with a British stamp. Poppodum, raithia, onion bargee, chicken tikka, lamb madras, nan, rice and a kulfi to follow please. It ticks all the traditional menu item boxes. The main reason people love this place then? The owner. I could see him work the floor. A masterful host, entertaining guests, preserving that family focused atmosphere.
